As the weather here in Sweden is getting colder, my skin is getting  dryer. For that reason I’ve been on the hunt for some good moisturizing face products. While searching online I came across loads of  easy DIY face masks that I wanted to try. I came across an interesting face mask that I tried and wanted to share with you. The face mask included turmeric, milk and honey.

Turmeric is stated to be an effective treatment for pimples, blackheads and acne.  The spice is great for skin treatments, since it gives the face an healthy bright glowy. Milk or natural yoghurt is said to have several benefits for skin treatments, including softening and hydrating rough skin and cleansing pores. Honey is also an amazing ingredients when it comes to face treatments, as honey helps to treat acne, scars and dry skin.  With all the ingredients above, I did a “Do it yourself” face mask and I decided to add coconut oil for some extra moisture.

1. Start by mixing 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon coconut oil.
2. Mix 1 teaspoon milk and  1 teaspoon turmeric (gurkmeja in Swedish) to a paste.
3. Apply the paste on your face and let it sit for 15-20 min.

After cleansing, my face instantly felt soft and moisturized. I will definitely try do this face mask once a week to see if the ingredients will hydrate and keep my skin looking flawless.

Have you tried any DIY face masks? ❤

woop! its great for acne. my friend uses a similar recipe 🙂

Nice. 🙂 all of those ingredients are very easy to get a hold of. 🙂 I have everything except turmeric.

Yes exactly! I was lucky to have everything at home when I found this face mask! You can probably find turmeric in any food store 🙂 Please let me know if you try the mask! xx

Yes! It was super easy and I already had all ingredients at home! Let me know if you ever try this DIY 🙂 x

I’ve never used this because I’m scared to try new things on my face lol. Scared of bleaching or eczema irritation.

I usually use sulphur mud from one of the hot sulphur springs or the Boiling Lake which we have in Dominica I mix it with a little bit of water- enough to make a paste. I wash it off when it dries. That mask literally sucks the impurities out of my skin.
