Lisa Curry put a lighthearted spin on the current situation sweeping Australia, as she shared a series of photographs of the one-of-a-kind face masks she has knitted among the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The 57-year-old former competitive swimmer took to Instagram on Wednesday and encouraged her followers to get crafty when it comes to protecting themselves and others, suggesting they put their knitting, crocheting or recycling skills to good use to create homemade masks.
While the masks are not medical grade and may do little to contain any form of virus or bacteria, many of Lisa’s followers commended her for putting a smile on their faces, while one described her efforts as “the best looking mask I have ever seen”.
Lisa shared two photographs online of herself and Elvis-impersonator husband Mark modelling the masks she knitted – hers a plethora of colours, including pink, purple and peach, while Mark opted for a plain black version.
