Cranberry Festive DIY Face Mask
Now that the holiday season is in full swing, it’s the perfect time to start masking with some ingredients you may find around your pantry. Cranberries – one of the most popular holiday foods – are both delicious AND good for your skin! Jam packed with anti-viral and anti-oxidant properties, cranberries have been known to help treat acne, blemishes, and even hyperpigmentation! Keep reading to hear about two cranberry-based DIY face masks that will get your skin in shape for the holiday season!
Cranberry Yogurt Mask
The yogurt in this mask is a great anti-inflammatory and its lactic acid will serve as a peel, helping to dissolve dirt, grime, and layers of dead skin cells. Along with the yogurt, the tablespoon of honey adds an extra dose of hydration for an all-around well-balanced mask!
Mix all ingredients together, then apply the mixture all over your face (avoiding your eyes) and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Exfoliating Cranberry Face Mask
In addition to cranberries, this recipe also includes a bonus holiday leftover ingredient: sweet potato! As mentioned in our previous blog, sweet potatoes are rich in Vitamin A and boost collagen and elastin production, making them the perfect ingredient for anyone looking for anti-aging and skin-rejuvenating benefits.
Mash the sweet potato in a bowl, then add in the rest of the ingredients and mix until fully blended. Apply generously over your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. As you rinse, rub in circles with your fingers to help exfoliate.
